It’s not often the entire industrial services sector rallies with such speed and purpose — but over the past week, Perth has witnessed exactly that. In the wake of a major wastewater infrastructure failure 💥🚰, the response from Perth’s industrial services industry has been nothing short of exceptional 💪.
Five days ago, a major pipeline burst in Perth’s southern corridor, disrupting vital services and leaving behind a significant environmental and operational mess 🌊🛠️.
For the city’s main water authority, the clock started ticking immediately ⏱️ — and it became clear that a rapid, coordinated effort would be essential to mitigate the impact.
HazRad Australia was proud to answer the call 🚨.

From first contact, our team mobilised alongside other key industry partners, deploying emergency response units, vacuum tankers 🚛, and containment solutions 🧰 to assist with the clean-up and site stabilisation. The conditions were difficult — saturated ground, tight access zones, odour and the urgency to protect surrounding infrastructure — but our experienced crews got to work without hesitation 👷♂️👷♀️.
This job has reminded us of the strength and professionalism that defines Perth’s industrial services sector 🏗️. In a time of crisis, competitors became collaborators 🤝 — all working toward a common goal: restoring essential wastewater services and protecting the community 🏘️.
We commend the leadership shown by Water Corporation and the cooperation between field teams, environmental officers, and contractors 👏. It’s been a challenging five days for all — but the result has shown what’s possible when capability meets coordination 🔧✅.

HazRad remains on standby ⏳ as recovery efforts continue, committed to supporting the final stages of remediation with safety, precision, and professionalism 🛡️📍.
When Perth needs us, we show up — and we get the job done!
