Empowering Women Through Second Chances: Celebrating a Year of Partnership with BPRCW

Today marks 12 months of partnership between HazRad Australia and the Boronia Pre-Release Centre for Women (BPRCW) — a milestone we’re incredibly proud of. 🎉
Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of providing meaningful employment opportunities to women transitioning back into the community through the Department of Justice’s Career & Employment Services and the Prisoner Employment Program (PEP).
What started as a commitment to create opportunity has grown into a powerful demonstration of what structure, training, and belief in people can achieve. 💪
At our technical facilities here in Western Australia, these women have become valued members of our team — contributing to compliant hazardous waste handling, packaging, site operations, and broader industrial services. ♻️
In what is traditionally a male-dominated industry, this initiative reinforces something important:
Capability isn’t defined by someone’s past — it’s defined by attitude, effort, and opportunity.
Over the last 12 months we’ve seen:
✔️ Increased confidence and job readiness
✔️ Strong work ethic and reliability
✔️ Pathways into ongoing employment
✔️ Positive flow-on effects to families and community
Programs like this don’t just address workforce needs — they create second chances and stronger communities. 🌏
A sincere thank you to the team at Boronia and the Department of Justice for their professionalism and support. And most importantly, to the women who step into a highly regulated, technical environment each day and prove themselves through action.
At HazRad Australia, we’re proud to build technical capability — but even prouder to help build futures. 🚀
Here’s to continuing this partnership into the future.
